Our curriculum is based on an enriched English National Curriculum, with increased focus on core skills such as reasoning, analysis, research and leadership.
Students will learn from qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about their subjects and committed to each student’s personal success. They support both academic results and emotional development, creating a truly supportive and personalised environment during these decisive years.
In the first three years of secondary school, students engage with a broad range of academic subjects, guided by specialist teachers in state-of-the-art learning spaces.
Starting at age 14 (Key Stage 4) students embark on a two-year program leading to IGCSE examinations, covering these compulsory core subjects choosing from elective subjects according to their abilities and interests.
On top of the IGCSE core subjects, students pick a selection of elective IGCSE options depending on their passions and interests.
Assessment
At BSG, assessment is all about real-time evidence and understanding each student's journey. We look for learning in real time, gathering data that shows how students are progressing. This helps us steer learning effectively, ensuring every student makes meaningful progress.

Preparing for A Levels
