Safeguarding isn't just a policy, it's a promise. Safeguarding is everything we do in school to keep children safe, healthy and happy so they can focus on learning. We ensure every BSG student is safe and feels safe, grounded in an environment built on the highest standards of care, respect and security. We expect all staff, parents, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.

Aisling Demaison
Head of Pastoral Care & Designated Safeguarding Lead
Born and educated in Ireland, Aisling Demaison brings a lifelong love of education and a deep understanding of how young people grow into curious, confident learners. Trained as a teacher and holding a Master’s degree in School Counselling, Aisling combines expertise in education and psychology to create meaningful connections with students and families.
Aisling began her teaching journey in Dublin, spending ten fulfilling years in the classroom and dedicating summers to teaching English as a foreign language. A move to Switzerland brought the opportunity to step into leadership as Deputy Head of Secondary at an international school, fostering a global perspective on learning and leadership. Driven by a passion for travel, culture, and education, Aisling went on to serve as Director of Education for a network of schools spanning five countries. This role offered rich experiences in facilitation and life coaching.
After years working across schools in Europe, Aisling returned to the day-to-day rhythm of school life in January 2024, joining the British School of Geneva as School Counsellor and joint Head of Pastoral. Alongside this, Aisling supports young people as a Youth Resilience Coach, with a special focus on ADHD coaching through private practice.
An active and outdoors-loving parent, Aisling enjoys life in the mountains with her husband and two young boys. Running, hiking, and skiing are family favourites, and these shared experiences inspire her belief in building resilience and a love of discovery.
Aisling thrives on helping young people explore their unique potential, empowering them to lead their learning and live with purpose.
At British School of Geneva, we provide clear protocols for handling child protection issues and prioritise open communication with students, parents and stakeholders for a well-understood safeguarding approach. If you’re concerned about a child please talk to us.
